Description
The invasion of new immigrants to Washington D.C. in the 1800's stunned the inhabitants of the modest communities near Washington D.C. The Tidal Basin is seen as one of the first attempts by Congressional legislators to mend the increasingly problematic immigrant bathing situation. It had its highs and its low while in use only to later by replaced with new attempts to tmend the problem. The Tidal Basin, the Potomac, and other small tributaries and creeks like the tiber where increasingly under attack by urbanization.
