Chart of the Potomac river
Title
Chart of the Potomac river
Subject
Potomac and the Tiber River
Description
This chart of the Potomac is actually very revealing about the city of Washington D.C. and the fate of the Tiber. Here in this chart the Potomac is looking fairly well, but the Tiber has been reduced significantly. The streets drawn indicate increased urbanization. The forest once along the banks of the Tiber have been eliminated. This chart reveals another step in the Tiber's progress towards a channel, then sewer before being confined underground.
